Travelling to Africa to work, volunteer or to enjoy a relaxing vacation? Then look no further. We'll help you make the most of your trip by connecting you to locals (called buddies) to help you make the most of your stay.
Buddies live, breathe and love their local cities. Buddies plan fun things to do - so you don't have to. They'll meet up with you, show you around, help you feel safe and make sure you have a great time.
Experience Africa like you never have before, through the eyes of the local.
We are about to launch in Malawi, with plans to expand across famous African cities in South Africa, Ghana, Tanzania and more.
Whatever type of trip you’re dreaming of, we’ve got you covered.
Meet and Greets
Our vetted cab buddies can meet you at the airport and help you get to your hotel.
Buddies regularly organise group activities which you're welcome to join. It's a great way to meet people and see famous landmarks.
You can also book a personalised activity with a buddy: like shopping, watching a local show, afternoon drinks or beach fun.
Get Around Safely
If there are a few 'must sees' you'd like to experience but don't want to go on your own, simply book a buddy to go along with you.
How we help
Our network of buddies offers you:
Safety and Security
Our local buddies are carefully recruited through local partners, interviewed and trained so that they provide a welcoming service.
From choosing the best hotels to stay at and great places to eat, down to how to dress for different occasions or address colleagues in meetings, you can't beat a local buddy for impartial, quality advice.
Fun local experiences
Our buddies are not professional guides - and that's a good thing; they wouldn't bore you to death with irrelevant information.
Instead you'd get to do activities you love and experience what it's like to live in and be part of the community.
We work around you
You could book a local buddy for a few hours, half a day or a full day.
We offer a range of options to suit you - from meet and greets and group tours, to personalised activities.

How good's your football?
Peter has lived in Lilongwe for most of his life and claims to know everyone! He'll happily invite you to join a game of football with his mates. They usually go for a few drinks afterwards if you're up for that too.
Boat trip anyone?
Zione lives in Blantyre and recently graduated from university. She can take you boat riding, fishing or help you bargain for the best prices when you go shopping.
